The Florida market
Florida is where padel arrived in the US first and where the density of clubs, resorts and gated communities makes it easiest to justify a court. It is also the state with the most demanding structural requirements for anything you bolt to a slab outdoors.
Apex is based in Tampa. That means a survey visit anywhere in the peninsula is a drive, not a flight, and install crews are mobilised from within the state.

What Florida does to a padel court.
Wind loading
Coastal Florida commonly falls in 140–170 mph design wind speed zones under ASCE 7. Our High Wind package with an engineered anchor schedule is the default specification here, not an upgrade.
Salt corrosion
Within a few miles of the coast, standard galvanising alone ages fast. A marine-grade coating package and a documented washdown schedule materially extend structure life.
Afternoon storms
Summer convection kills late-afternoon bookings. Canopy courts recover those hours and are usually a simpler permit than a full enclosure.
Drainage
Flat sites and high water tables mean the slab fall and stormwater connection need designing early. This sits with your civil engineer, and we specify to it.
Permitting
County-by-county. Wind-load calculations stamped by a Florida-licensed engineer are typically required; we supply the manufacturer's structural data package.
